Jean at Gallery 621.JPG

My painting is about trying to capture the essence of something beautiful on the canvas. The beauty of nature, captured plein air or in a photograph, creates endless inspiration for my work.

I moved to Benicia in 2013 after a rewarding career at University of the Pacific. I became a regular visitor to Benicia's galleries and joined Arts Benicia as Development Associate in 2017. Through these connections I have met dozens of amazing and talented artists.  This friendly and supportive artist community has been the primary reason for my development as an artist, for which I'm very grateful.

I enjoy exploring a variety of media, but I work mainly in oils. You can see my work at Gallery 621 920 1st Street, Suite 203, Benicia.
